Sandra Storey is the author of the poetry collection, Every State Has Its Own Light, a finalist for the May Swenson Poetry Award, published in 2014 by Word Poetry imprint of WordTech Communications. Her poetry has appeared in New Millennium Writings, Windfall and the New York Quarterly, among other journals. A resident of Jamaica Plain, Sandee was founder, editor and publisher of two bilingual Boston neighborhood newspapers for 20 years. Now she's a monthly columnist for the Jamaica Plain Gazette. She also leads poetry workshops, including special ones for people over 62. She is a member of Jamaica Pond Poets and is co-director of its reading series, Chapter and Verse.
