Steven Withrow studied writing, literature, and publishing at Roger Williams University and Emerson College. His poems for children, teens, and adults have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies worldwide including The National Geographic Book of Animal Poetry. In 2010 he produced a documentary film, Library of the Early Mind, with Edward J. Delaney. His chapbook for adults, Crackles of Speech, was published in 2014, and his first collection for children will be published in 2016. He is the founder of Poetry Advocates for Children & Young Adults, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding the reach of poetry for (and by) young people.
